There have been some very bright colours on the radar lately so this kind of thing is only to be expected I guess...

Yes indeed, certainly no surprise, there where tornadoes forecast in the general area that day by TORRO. ESTOFEX have already recorded this one as an F1 tornado. Eye witnesses reported see a funnel touch down.
