Good News for PSE8 users

If, like me, you are using Photoshop Elements 8 for processing your RAW images, you will be pleased to know that you can download ACR 6.1 from the Adobe website. Adobe have re-engineered the de-bayering algorithm in this version, the effect of which is much better processing of noisy high ISO images. Results from my own images look very good indeed, though anything that has previously been processed needs the .xmp file deleted to enable the new processing engine.

Thanks Paul, this is great news im currently using elements 7 and was thinking of up-grading. This would be of great benefit to night photgraphy as i dont like using the in-camera noise reduction
