We put 4 chicken pieces on the BBQ today and left them there - didn't need turning for several minutes. From the kitchen window we saw a seagull fly down and hover over the BBQ nick a piece of chicken and fly down onto the lawn where it ate it. I had to take a seat at the BBQ or I'm sure it would come back for the rest .Would have made a great shot but it was over in seconds. The BBQ was well hot, it had been on for 10 mins. before we placed the chicken on it.

A very hungry/and or brave bird who's obviously had experience with that before. Would have been a great shot!

I think you're right,Richard, not the first time and it's probably got it off to a fine art-he deserves the piece for flying skill and ingenuity. We have a problem in the city with these gulls,The Local Authority smear oil on the eggs ti stop them hatching but the problem is the open municipal garbage tip a mile from the city, there's hundreds there and they plague the city centre-we're two miles from the city centre.
