Well really thought today was looking good! Dam good cape and LI's and under low pressure too. Everyone was biting on storms today and not one dam thing, terrible forecasting here as usual! Anyway I managed these shots when me and martin went out to look for these so called storms  Undecided

Does anyone know why there is white showing at the side of my images?

Conor those are better than anything I saw today, spent nearly three hours out in a grey and boring sky. Those guys at the Met O must have had a hangover or something!! Roll Eyes           I cant see any white in these images?

Thanks Paul. Yea it was a bad call indeed! There is white at the top and bottom of the images and appears at the side on the vertical shots. Do you know what the best size is on the forum?

Great looking clouds even if it's not what you were looking for!

Not bad at all Conor! We had about 2 mins of sudden heavy rain here then the clouds went away and it's still sunny here! The boys and girls at the Met Office got this one pretty wrong I reckon!

Ah get you now, i was looking for white in the image itself. I use photobucket and resize to about 800x540 for forums, although that white shouldnt be showing up no matter what size-not sure, someone else might know??

Hey Conor, I enjoyed those images, when I look back on the day it doesn't seem half as a bad as I thought image-wise, just a pity the Met O are up to their usual standard, I won't say any more incase I get in trouble but I'm far from pleased by them as you know  Smiley. Tripod shot says so much - like we had given up or something, nice capture of that dark base under the explosive updraught we seen, that was the highlight of the day.

I don't know why the white border appears, it definitely shouldn't be, are they jpeg or Tiff?, do you use tinypic?. Image size is typicaly 800 pixels wide for the forum.

Hoping for better action this Summer...at least we tried, and batts on the charger again incase it clears tonight as you say  Smiley

Really low sky there and very dramatic photos .With that river it could be the view I have from nearby hills looking west.
