Were these taken at Belfast zoo, Conor ?  Was there anything between you and the chimp- some  mesh maybe ?  I'm just wondering why the chimp in the first one is out of focus the the milk bottle isn't and I thought if you'd had a wide aperture to take out the mesh it might explain it .For my own benefit I look hard at photos so I can learn from them.  The peacock is lovely and sharp.

Hi John for me I like the pictue to tell a little story and with this shot I had an idea to give it a funny side. If you imagine like a picture of a vodka bottle replaced with the milk and a man replaced with gorilla, you see what I mean? Giving the impresion the gorilla dunk the milk and then collapsed off to sleep thats why I made the focus mainly on the milk, or the culprut if you like lol. I did take the pics in Belfast zoo, got some great ones too but as you say I had to shoot through extremely dirty glass.

Cheers. The shots were taken with Canon 350D 70-300mm lens on handheld. Though I was able to put the lens case tight to the glass to reduce camera shake, it was dark in there!

Very good, Conor. lol..That's your imagination at work. Yes, often you're faced with mesh or glass ,no reflection  though so you've done well there.
