Just wondering if anyone has seen this http://astrosurf.com/legault/new_moon_2010april14.html, I have always been interested in capturing young Moons but this just beats everything. I thought the Moon the could not be photographed less the 7.8 hours old.

That is an incredible image, I too have never seen or heard of this young or old a moon. But I'll stick to the safety of photographing after or before the sun is down! Thanks.

Very sensible. Without proper equipment & a lot of application of safety routines, observing anything close to the sun in daylight is extremely dangerous!

I was impressed with the picture taken by Pete Lawrence last week of the 19h Moon but this one is even more adventurous.
