Noticed at 10:25 BST this morning (14 May) as the sky was clearing following early morning rain/showers. The colours in the high cloud (anvil?) were much further from the sun than the usual 22 degree halo, approx. 40 degrees away; the sun would be in the 10 o'clock position in relation to the arc fragment shown in the image. I think this was a fragment of the fairly rare 46 degree halo, possibly reinforced by an infralateral arc.
This image is cropped giving a field of view of approx. 8 degrees by 6 degrees.
