Nice one John. Glad you caught it too. First spotted at 00:45 but need that confirmed. Please excuse the rubbish pics, bad camera settings and broken tri-pod caused alot of shake and ruined most my images, not a happy bunny!

Thanks all for the nice comments!
Nice images Conor, unfortunately for me that was the only hole in the cloud, there seemed to be more in the east than were you were, 40 miles made the difference!

Conner, one man's rubbish is another's treasure, especially when one's latitude doen't support NCS's, I'm just boo-hooing and envious! Great shots everyone. Martin, I'm having alot of problems with tinypics but it's the only one I know how to use with the forum. I'm sure there's something else out there? Anyone?

Richard by far the easiest & most user-friendly has to be Photobucket. As you can see from the example in my link (this account is attached to another of my astro forums BTW), you can customise its appearance to a great degree and to post images here, simply copy the 'IMG Code' under the relevant thumbnail & then merely paste the code into your post here. There are simple editing facilities on Photobucket, should you require them, which include a resize option. In all of the years that I've used PB, I can't recall a time when the site crashed or even had any sort of technical problem. Highly recommended.

Thanks for posting the photobucket link Andy, that's very helpful. Imageshack is another good host which places thumbnails in the forum body. I still prefer tinypic as the best, since I have been using it for years, however recently you have to type in two words of text so the image can be uploaded, and this has to be repeated every time you add another image, not to mention that on occasion one can't understand the letters in the first place which is very frustrating. Richard, keep a close eye on your twilight sky by mid Summer, NLCs were captured from Nebraska last year so you never never know, it's possible a rare display could happen from your lat, and if anyone is up to the challenege it's you . Depends on how this season shapes up, so far it's nothing compared to 2009 however they are unpredictable and there could be monster dispalys within a week.

NLC season began in Ukraine! (...and I guess my photo will be the first confirmed NLC sighting from Ukraine) On June 12/13 evening, near 23h EEST there were weak NLC in north, just below Capella, as seen from near Poltava. Also have been confirmed from Krasnograd. Detailed report to come.
