The Sun shone this morning though conditions were not easy - drifting shower clouds causing interruptions, very thin high cloud tending to thicken and very fast but small amplitude disturbances i.e. "jet stream seeing" also tending to get worse with time.
The giant prominence at the NNE limb has shrunk a bit, but is still impressive:
2010 Apr 04, 0908 UT. Solarscope 60, 2x barlow giving approx. f/24, Imaging Source DMK21 camera.
There is also a mass of prominences stretching round the limb from just north of west to just west of south. One at the west limb is exceptionally bright & associated with AR 1057 which is now almost at the limb.
0914 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.
0916 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.
0918 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.
The CaK whole disk shot shows remarkably little activity, AR 1059 near the meridian in the southern hemisphere appearing to dominate.
0851 UT. Coronado PST CaK @ prime focus (f/10), DMK41.
However the small bright plage near the meridian in the northern hemisphere is interesting: it contains two small pores....

.... which are also visible in white light:
