Skies finally cleared this afternoon following the severe storm earlier in the week (no snow here & by some miracle the power just about stayed on!!! but it was a close thing)

There are just two medium sized spots in white light; the southern part of the Sun has numerous filaments, giving it a "bruised" appearance, but main feature of the day is without a doubt the huge flattened arch prominence on the north east limb.

Overview in CaK:

2010 Apr 01, 1515 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus (f/10), Imaging Source DMK41 camera.

AR 1057:

1557 UT. William Optics FLT 110, x2 barlow giving approx. f/20, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, Imaging Source DMK21 camera.

White Light:

1550 UT. William Optics FLT 110, 4x Imagemate giving approx. f/28, Baader solar film (ND5.0), DMK21.

Hydrogen alpha:

1523 UT. Solarscope 60, x2 barlow giving approx. f/24, DMK21.

AR 1059:

Calcium K:

1559 UT. FLT 110 @ f/21, B1200 CaK, DMK21.

White Light:

1549 UT. FLT 110 @ f/28, solar film, DMK21.

Hydrogen alpha:

1524 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.

Prominences:

NW limb:

1529 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.

SW limb:

1531 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.

SE limb:

1526 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.

ENE limb:

1540 UT. Solarscope 60 @ f/24, DMK21.
