Here's one image I took from the Glenshane Pass last night showing the insane blizzards blowing across the pass with trapped cars and trucks - it was wild!. Diffcult to take when it's dark with a car rocking in the wind and sliding on snow. Note the trees bending in the wind.

Will post more images and some video in the future, have lots to go through.

Great shot Martin, looks more like the Great Plains in the US in January than Ireland! For a second I was thinking he had slid onto the wrong side of the road until I remembered that I drive on the wrong side of the road lol.

Thanks very much guys for the feedback, I will add more soon. Padraig, that was some scene, captured by Conor who was with me at the time, I must post is UKWW link with images.

Richard, lol we were thinking the exact same thing at the time, it was like a US Winter storm, or even a 'white' desert storm with the snow dunes and drfits.

I have uploaded two videos to youtube, however they are no longer accepting my browser so I can't even get the URL links of the videos to post on here which is very frustating, even the buttons on the page are blank. They are bullying people into upgrading to a modern browser, like Internet Explorer 8 - do you think I should download it?, and how many of you use it?, an problems? - would really appreciate the advice before I do it. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I don't like firefox though, websites look different and I don't like the lay out, I just wanted to stick to IE because I have been famililar with the system for years. I heard bad stories about version IE 8 regarding forums and websites not working on it so that's why I'm worried about upgrading, because once I do it, I don't think IE let's you back to version 7. Maybe I should just go for it anyway  Sad

Thanks for the suggestion Paul, will it in mind if this goes the wrong way.

Just uploaded IE 8, and still I can't get URL links from youtube videos, so I will try the embed options to see if they work.

Those look good to me Martin, and more than a bit scary! One of my colleagues was showing me video taken up there on Tues evening - it illustrated perfectly that a BMW is useless in that kind of weather!

Cheers Paul, the vids don't even touch on what it was like up there because of the darkness hiding the blizzard, I was only using the video mode on the Fujifilm S5600, however I got something of a record, plenty of images taken though. I know what you mean about the BMW's, we seen so many of them stranded, nothing but spinning wheels, although having said that the truck wheels were spinning too, we just about managed with front wheel drive. It was hairy going that's for sure - but great fun  Smiley

I've just completed a two page image account about this event if anyone is interested in checking it out. Will be keeping this one on the site permanent since it made such an impression on me.
