Clear as a bell here but no aurora seen after a one hour watch. Must have missed the brief surge. There could be more tonight and Mon night, keep watch.

Definitely monitoring tonight, we've got clear skies at the moment, though i fear that will quickly change.

Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet for day 1 (14 February). Unsettled to active conditions with a chance for isolated minor storming is expected on day 2 (15 February) with an increased chance for minor storming on day 3 (16 February). Activity is associated with the midday, day 2 arrival of the 13 February CME, and a recurrent coronal hole high speed stream.

Wow, some good activity at high latitudes in Europe. But anyway if even something great would happen, I am clouded here for the 8th day in a row.  Grin

Yip, mid latitudes have been in red alert - nothing here in the clear gaps, now cloud and rain. Will try again later.

Spent most of the evening in the car watching the north, will try again when it clears, got a whole bunch of showers moving down from the north to battle with. Hope you get something over Nebraska after sunset Tyler. Been chatting with Mike and he's all geared up if anything kicks off.

Sorry to hear about the clouds Roman!

Havnt stopped looking at the charts all evening, only downside is that looking north from where i am in lisburn is straight into the lit up skyline of belfast, will still have a look outside anyways just incase!

Success!!, have been watching an aurora for over 1 hr here, visible NW to N through Pegasus to Lyra, 15 degs high in the form of a bright green band, still visible now but faded a great deal. Amazing sight, two vertical rays observed also. Got images but are rubbish due to old camera.

Excellent Martin! Congrats! I read of your sighting just as I was leaving to try and see some myself and it did give us hope! LOL. Unfortunately that is all. Had this false alarm... http://tonightssky.org/images/021610a.jpg

Thought that was aurora for about an hour lol, until I telephotoed it. Some kinda cool night shots, might post a few later.
