Moderate seeing prevailed last night so Dave Grennan and myself got together for a bit of a Mars fest.

Excellent work Dave and Carl, that image is phenomenal and almost identical to the example diagram!. I can only imagine what you guys will get on a night of very good seeing. Best of luck and thanks for sharing it with us  Smiley

Thanks for the kind comments lads.  I certainly enjoyed the diversion afforded by the Mars opposition.  Nice to have something else to do around full Moon.   This was my very first ever image of Mars so hopefully,  I've found something to fill in a few hours around full moon when it always seems to be gloriously clear.
