This brute came in from the west just before teatime, and when it hit the wind rose and the temperture dropped quite suddendly. It took up the whole sky from NW to SW and the rain......well I'll let the image speak for itself!

Wow!. These are the kind of storm structures I love. That's a nasty looking gust front, quite a beast. Love the precip curtain falling from it, and you picked up the rain in dramatic fashion. The two images make for a very effective story board....

Images 2, downdraught/outflow cold wind and rain.
Surprised you didn't get a c-g out of that. Radar certainly looked interesting today. There was a t-storm in Ballymena.

They are scary looking John, that looks like an awful lot of rain just as wel it didn't linger for too long.
