Cleared here at 2220 just after max phase, it was a brightish eclipse and very colourful.
Got some images through the ETX but had some bother getting the image focused in the
camera. Need to check them on PC to see what I have. Very glad to have seen two eclipse's
in one month Grin Great to hear you had some luck Carl.

Got a nice view of all the eclipse from Ireland West Aiport, sky almost totally clear, lots of big CB cloud on the horizon, was waiting for a lightning strike
as would make a nice picture, anyways here is one shot, hard luck to you guys up North.

That's great work Roman and Steven!, where did you guys get the clear skies from?.

It actually cleared here after the eclipse then dense fog rolled in for the rest of the night. Didn't see the Moon once during the entire eclipse thanks to the rain.

Those are great shots guy's I couldn't even come close to those, in fact I was very
disappointed with my results Cry The camera attached to an undriven scope is not
really a good idea especially 1250mm, must invest in a proper lens for the camera.
Thought I would put this one up to give you a laugh! It's a full frame.

Those are great shots guys - I'm glad someone had better weather than I did. I'm told the clear spell came after it was all over I'd given up by then!

Clear skies,

Paul.

Hello guys. I see that it was very bad weather in N Ireland on Aug.16/17. Nice work Steven, John and Ronan
I share the regret of other who haven't seen the eclipse.

Fortunately, I have seen the entire eclipse!  Smiley

It was mostly cloudy in Poltava with some gaps around 21-22h and 02h EEST (my grandmother observed the eclipse)
But I was situated in Feodosiya, Crimea, and there was clear. Very warm night (+26C), hazy skies but almost no clouds. Moon was covered with the clouds for less than 1 minute of total 334 minutes, this actually means 0.3% cloudness during the eclipse.
This was my 3rd lunar eclipse, and the only one which I've seen completely.

My observing point was the beach of the hotel where I lived. Two days before I invited everybody who wants to take part in eclipse observations.  It was a kind of "sidewalk astronomy". Total 15 people (including me) have seen that eclipse.

BTW, future lunar eclipses:
 in Poltava - 2009 Feb.09 (penumbral, not complete), 2009 Aug.05/06 (penumbral), 2009 Dec.31 (partial)
 in N.Ireland - 2009 Aug.05/06 (penumbral), 2009 Dec.31 (partial)
