I'll second Paul's remark and add that you've got an exceptional piece of glass there that accentuates you're talent.

Thanks for the kind comments. I've just joined the Tallaght Photographic Society, and I hope to get a bit more serious about my photography. I'd love to have a Licentiateship by this time next year. I'd better get to work on that. Wouldn't it be great to give up a job you hate and start doing something you love for a living? I'll have to diversify though as I'm not sure if Nature Photography is that easy to break in to. Here's a shot from Eoin Colfer's book launch in London on Sunday night (at the party afterwards). I shot this and quite a few successful others from the hip. I don't normally shoot people, I prefer nature, but I suppose I'll have to adapt.

Excellent set of shots John... sharp and detailed... Nicely done at the book launch too.

Brilliant images John, especially the vertical Heron capture - yes, it would be fabulous to get paid doing what you love. , keep at it and you never know....

Sharp as ever - especially good at hand held too. I don't do people either, much prefer wildlife and weather. Photographing old wrinkly people in Spain for instance has never appealed to me but some people love to photograph 'characters'.
