You've caught the last flowering for the season,John. Many people don't prune after the summer rose  bloom  and lose the second budding/flowering in October.

Very nice shots, love the first because of the clouds - great idea. I'm sure you'll try to get under the target next time and try to get more inclusion. I always look at my shots afterwards and think why didn't I do this or that.
Excellent stuff though you are very talented indeed.

What do you mean by under the shot and more inclusion though ? The DOF is just what I was aiming for (if that's what you mean by inclusion)... I wanted only a single bud sharp and in focus.

What I meant was to include more of the cloud, or bring it closer to the flower by changing your perspective.
