Sorry, couldn't think of a decent title so that had to do. Took these images on the 12th using the 300mm lens to zoom in on nice structures within the sunset clouds. A gap opened and filtered sunlight broke through to create this nice smoky/foggy feature which I thought was really cool.

I think that's a great title, or maybe "On the first day, God created....". Those are beautiful images Martin. They look almost 3D or HDR. Good job!!

Thanks Richard, I like your title much better.  Smiley

Glad you liked the images, they are straight off the camera with no adjustments made, but as you said, they do have a HDR look about them.

Those look great Martin - more so as they're untouched. The smoky regions almost give the impression that the clouds are on fire and I like the overall colour cast too.

Stunning Martin... I can almost hear David Attenbrough voice over saying "And here, in the fires of creation..."  Spectacular shots

Getting 'into' the cloud structure often make very attractive photos like these. These are undulating aren't they- what causes this phenomena ?

Thanks guys for the feedback. I like the David Attenbrough touch John  Smiley

John C, I'm not sure what caused that shape to be honest. There where three different cloud types at the time ahead of a weak warm front which I could see moving in from the NW. Cirrus was near the horizon, alto cumulus higher up, and at middle was that strange stratus-style structure which had numerous wave-like forms and thin linear streaks. I can't add much more than that I'm afraid.

Wow Martin! That is a great title btw, and the images are AWESOME!  Smiley
It looks like some kind of ocean/sky abstraction to me. Good framing and superb colours!
