Here's two still frames extracted from a series of video clips showing two cloud to ground (c-g) bolts over Maghera on Aug 13th. Thank goodness for freeware. I hit the jack pot on the first link using Yahoo.

That's superb work Martin - I expect to see it on TV tomorrow evening The first shot in particular is fantastic - look at all the forks! BTW - what freeware did you use? Paul.

Thanks very much Paul. I'm glad you liked those captures. I'm very happy with them. It took some effort (and guts) to stay out in that and try for a c-g. I sent in the first image tonight. Don't have a big file size though. I used 'imagegrab'... http://paul.glagla.free.fr/imagegrab_en.htmIt's a delight to use. Very simple and the still is grabbed in sec's. Cheers.

Fantastic Martin! Looks like they were close enough, it must have been exciting and frightening at the same time... Well done

Thanks Steven. It was frightening and exciting at the same time...I loved it . Hope I don't have to wait to long for the next one. Two t-storms in one week is good enough.
