http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-Eclipses-2008-08-01.htmThis was taken in Siberia on Friday by Anthony Ayiomamitis with whom I have corresponded many times and of course is a regular on SW.com It's probably the most realistic HDR rendition of the corona I've ever seen - many look very artificial - here I think Anthony has the processing spot on so it looks like the corona does to the eye. Yes, that's a beauty!. Well done to Anthony. I seen one of his lunar eclipse montage images on the 'sky at night' last night and it was amazing. He's a superb photographer.

Yes, it is without a doubt on of the best eclipse photos.
I'm curious: what is that bright spot to the right of the Sun? delta Cnc ?

I'm curious: what is that bright spot to the right of the Sun? delta Cnc ? A star that bright (faint?) would certainly show up with that sort of equipment.
