Anyone experienced movement of the object when focusing the LX200? This occurs when both RA and DEC locks are on.

Hi Prince and welcome to the forum. I don't have the LX200 but have used an LX10 for years with similar controls and have never encountered this issue before. Definitely sounds like a problem for sure. Maybe some of the others on here can offer some help. I hope you get it sorted.

With SCTs a certain amount of "image shifting" does occur when focusing, however it shouldn't be a huge amount - mine (CPC1100) is about half the width of Jupiter, it's noticeable when webcamming with a barlow to increase the image scale but certainly not an issue when observing visually. You may be able to reduce the amount by running the focuser through its full range of travel a few times, it takes a lot of turns (about 40 is typical), do not force against the end stops. If that does not fix the problem I respectfully suggest you get in touch with Telescope House who are the main agents for Meade in the British Isles.
