I was reading the thread about possibilities of astronomic observations in Egypt, but further I have found this website. Maybe you haven't seen it yet:

As for me, it is an absolutely great idea. I will certainly recall this place if only I will sometimes have an oportunity to travel southwards.

I've read of other hotels that cater to astonomers like this, but never in such a dark sky environment like this. I remember in the California deserts many years ago the dark skies were just incredible. Not making much scence of the monetary system, I don't know if that is a good price or not, not that I'll ever travel that far to visit it. Still, very interesting!

We have a place here deigned for astronomers and they have equipment you can use too. It's miles from any lights.

That looks like a fantastic place Roman, I can only imagine what the night sky would look like from there. No doubt the Milky Way casts a shadow.
