For those of you that don't know, I recently went on a little road trip to the badlands and black hills of South Dakota, as well as the snowy range in Wyoming. I've written out a huge report on four pages starting with the badlands here... http://www.tonightssky.org/accounts/072609.html

But I thought I'd post the best images for those that don't want to read through the report. These are my some of my favorite images from the trip. The Milkyway was absolutely stunning in the badlands, too bad I only got one clear night on the trip.

Thanks for posting these images here Tyler, I enjoyed them on your site. It looks like it was a very enjoyable trip, even with the cloudcover. My favorite image is of the glacial lake at the base of the mountain. That would look spectacular with alpenglow. Was this morning or evening? As I to you mentioned before, these mountain lake scenes look so much like the Sierra Nevada. Thanks!

Superb set of shots Tyler. That fourth one of the colours rocks... and the mountain lake are my faves.

Fantastic images Tyler, and great reports to, I have read every one of them in detail. There are many 'greats' to choose from in those pages however the lake one really gets into the elite  ategory. Glad you had a fantastic  trip, and best of luck on your future adventures.  Smiley
