...and catch some convection before sunset from a great location overlooking the Sperrins. No big convection to speak of however there was plenty of mid level instability and even some mammatus. Several intense showers broke out and one of them looked like it could produce some electrics but it was not to be. Still, quite a photogenic sky all the same!. The sky was in good form even when I arrived home.

Beautiful rain curtain on the last photo.  Smiley

Interesting cloud structures on the upper part of #2 photo. I have never noticed something like this before.
