Another from the sequence I took a couple of days ago. I think the processing here is more successful though there's more noise than I'd like.

2009 July 13, 0258 UT. Colongitude 159.5 deg, phase 72.7%, libration latitude -04 deg 44 min, libration longitude -06 deg 38 min
Celestron CPC1100, prime focus, Astronomik IIc red colour seperation filter, Imaging Source DMK41 camera. Seeing poor, transparency fair.

I think you've got the balance just about right. As with everything in life, everyone has their own preferences. Personally I have a penchant for contrasty & crisp looking Moons over blander looking ones or ones with a softer looking focus.
