A couple of moths that were loitering on the ceiling...

55-250


Raynox


Anyone know what they are ?

Thanks Richard... I understand that the first one is a Magpie moth, and the second is a Plume moth... I need to get me a bug book of some sort I think.

Cool images John, the first one is very interesting with the Moth's colours contrasting against the strange white textured surface of the roof (almost lunar) . Nice  Smiley

Thanks Martin. The ceiling is the same in both shots... the shallow DOF of the macro setup means you can't tell in the second. May have to have a play with the processing on that first one.... you're giving me ideas...
