Paul is it possible to change the links colour to make it automatically look more prominent? At the moment it looks very similar in colour to the posting text as you can see http://astrophotoweather.smfforfree4.com/index.php?action=post;board=1.0

Yes it is possible, as you see. I am no expert in CSS coding, also as you can see Smiley

Is this any better or is it now too harsh on the eye?

I'd have preferred pink with purple spots Paul.  Grin Grin

Seriously that's fine. It's easy now to distinguish a link from the text in a post. Top man!

I don't like that change one bit lol. Looks very bad on by side anyway. Too harsh in my opinion and the colour kills the cool look of the forum  Sad

That's much better, but still needs some tweaking, I'm sure what it is but the colours seem to conflict/contrast too much with the other colours on the forum. I liked the original one myself but perhaps with a slightly different tone maybe. What does everyone else think?, thanks for working on it Paul.  Smiley

I may have not made it clear what the problem was. When you made a post and included a link to another site in it, both the post & the link appeared in different shades of white making it difficult to tell at times if there was a hyperlink to click on in the post (ref my thread the other day on the possible comet-like green object in one of my astro-buddies pictures on another forum). Not fussed what colour gets chosen - s'long as any links in posts stand out more.

That's what I understood Andy, but a couple found the yellow I initially chose to be a bit fierce - I think the lilac blue is easier on the eye whilst obviously different from the text colour.

Cheers Paul. I must admit that I hadn't realised that it would change ALL links on this forum though.  Embarrassed

Yes, there seems to be only one family of link colours - ie links, visited and hovering - the ones in the text aren't differentiated from the others as far as I can see.

Imho it was much better as before e.g. the same colour as text.

P.S. Is it possible to change the colours in user's profile?  Huh

P.P.S. The new logo looks very nice Paul!  Smiley

Not on this forum.

Paul bearing in mind 'majority rule' I'd revert back to the original scheme. The link thing is such a minor issue and I certainly won't let it ruin my life!  Grin Grin

Sorry to have messed you around.

I have compromised Smiley It's a lighter blue now - different enough to show that a link is different from plain text, but not so different......

I've probably upset everybody now Smiley
