I meant to ask you, do you get many tornadoes in Ukraine?, have there been any big events?
Tornadoes are rare, but I know they can occure, possibly one or several of them each year (in summer only, of course).

The last one, which I can recall, occured in mid-Aug.2008, in Crimea (20km NE from Feodosia). Maybe I told about it before... it had possibly formed above Azov Sea, next ran across a single village on the seacoast - several house roofs were ruined there, nothing serious imho. The most funny thing was that at that time I was at the Black Sea coast in Feodosia and haven't noticed any T-storm activity (being 20km away!) ...heard about it on TV a few hours later in the evening.  Grin

Also several times during recent years I have heard about tornadoes in W and N Ukraine. The only one I exactly remember is a one which occured in Volyn region a year or two ago - a dozen or so of houses were seriously damaged.
I know almost nothing about 'big events' - maybe they have occured far in the past.
