Check out the met office radar. Mad thunderstorms with torrential rain have moved up from Euorpe and are moving N. Lots of lightning from these. Observers in S UK and S Ireland could very well see these flashing over the Ocean now. They might move inland too. Pity they are not expected in N. Ireland!!

RTE site is mentioning the possiblity of thundery rainfall over E Ulster tonight.

Thunderstorms now over Irish Sea to the SE of NI. This night could have a surprise in store.

T-storm reported in Dublin. Those intense echoes over the Irish Sea have made land fall on the E coast of N. Ireland. Sferics have gone quiet there but could start again. Red and white echoes, so localized intense rain fall is occurring. Might be a gust front on that system.
