Ah, the RN.  Now, that is my scene.  Smiley

Excellent photos, John.,really sharp.  I was in the RNR at Liverpool when I was 17 and loved it, out in the Irish sea. I was christened (upside down ship's bell) on HMS Excellent ,the shore-based gunnery school, Whale island, Portsmouth.  I wouldn't like to serve in  subs.  though, too claustrophobic for me and your photos really bring that aspect to the fore. I really enjoyed viewing these. Hopefully, you'll get a chance to get more RN vessels.

Love the sub shots John. I think you chose right on the black and white, it adds to the atmosphere.

Excellent images John, I love the b&w captures also, very good choice. I wouldn't like to be living in that Sub for  any length of time that's for sure. Fascinating images anyway  Smiley

Thanks guys. The sub was indeed a challenge bog all light, I was also carrying a photo backpack with my camera gear and lunch in it, it wouldn't fit through the hatches on my back...
