Ailsa's looking great right now - for those who don't know Ailsa Craig is a rock in the North Channel some 40 miles from my house not far from the Scottish Coast. It is over 1000ft high, hence very visible despite the distance.

Today it looks more like Mt Kilimanjaro Smiley

Paul, that's a fantastic image. The mountain looks really imposing with the snow on top and dark underside. Great shot. I don't think I've ever seen that mountain before. Great viewpoint!. * watch out for some isolated lightning over that region of Scotland tonight and Fri. ESTOFEX have a forecast out that area.  Wink

I took this image of Slieve Gallion before sunset showing the snow. Doesn't compare to Craig does it!

Impressive shots. Good find, Roman. I  really like the foreground that Paul has.. My first thoughts were an island off the Cape so I was in  the right a part of the world                             (Kilimanjaro) Amazing what a bit of snow can do for a scene. I have seen photos of Ailsa Craig before but didn't recognise this photo of it because of the snow.
