An Excellent image. I would think the strong winds will be confined to NI and Scotland though.

The leading edge of the approaching frontal system hit here this evening and had a big gust front with weak Whale's Mouth on the E side. Behind it was very heavy rain mixed with hail. I have a few not very good images and a video clip of this. It wasn't the most photogenic in the world but it was very impressive with the naked eye and looked very nasty. This gust front was peceded by the darkest mid level clouds and cu I have seen in a long time. The entire SW sky looked like a huge storm was approaching. Seen some cb cells, mammatus, and updraught towers today also. Things are getting closer to some big t-storms in the not too distant future  |
