I've been having a bash at some Galaxies. First time for ones I can't actually see (I did get M31 with my AltAz config). Image details are in the frame.

M81 and M82

Leo Triplet

I'm aiming for getting a few more hours on each target but the skies have worked against me so far.

Some cracking results there though John. Is the M81/M82 image a crop or full frame?

Thanks Roman, I nearly got to add some time to M81/M82 last night, it looked good, got setup and PA'ed, just framing the galaxies and .... Clouds..

That's very nice work John - it may be an unguided setup, but there's nowt wrong with the polar alignment, or the focus for that matter!

Thanks guys. Declan, the HEQ5 makes light work of the two small fracs I have on top. Paul, I can't believe I was spooked at the thought of Polar aligning when I first started out, which is why I went AltAz, it's surprisingly simple and the Rack and Pinion stock focuser on the C80ED is surprisingly good.
