Isn't Venus racing back in towards the Sun as it heads towards inferior conjunction on Friday (27th)!

That's a good one Paul. I was looking out for one of those yesterday but the sky was so clear I could only see the Sun and nothing else. Venus was visible directly above the Sun when the disk set behind the Sperrins. That planet is really racing towards conjunction, as you said Andy.

Beauty there Paul. I was looking for Venus after sunset last night and during twilight it was already set!! crazy how quick it went.
