As Martin said, there were a lot of biggie Cb's about today but  not enough here to make a trip worth it because about 80% of the sky was Sc and in places a 'grey out'. As  4.30pm came I could see the potential for some crepuscular shots so I took myself out to my fav. location overlooking the Severn Valley. That's the river Severn you see. I'll put them in order as I saw it develop but next time I need to make a note on my pad from the metadata (exif ?) to ensure it's the correct order.

What a great selection John!. I have to say that those are among the finest images of crep rays I have seen in a long time. I think it's rare to see a good image of both crep rays and the solar disk at the same time without sacrificing one for the other but you managed to do it  Smiley. Nice work.

Great anvil in the distance. That anvil has been blown quite some distance down wind!

Many thanks.  When you do these photos and border and text them etc. I don't think the 'beauty' of some registers  but coming back to these I can see why you like the crep. photos - magical colours too. I seem to be a sunset man lol.  I mean I really like sunsets .Hope it's not boring you all - no need to reply lol.

Off to the Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge tomorrow at 0915. Only 9 miles away. They have a new Kingfisher hide there so it would be wonderful to get some shots of one of those beautifully coloured birds  (and the mandarin ducks too) so watch this space- or rather the Photography forum ,space lol.

Great shots, John.  I liked that distant anvil. Smiley

I had a nice Wednesday sunset too.

There was a patch of Ac clouds in the W

which were quickly dissipating (next shot is 10 minutes later)

note those "wavy structures"

meanwhile, the rest of the sky was clear (Moon was high in S)

Thanks,Roman. Martin says the anvil was blown downwind a long way -  It looked anvil enough to take it, more for the shape really because it's not what I would call a proper one. I see you had a quiet  peaceful sunset - mine was a drama lol
