First off, this one's hot off the press - it's Cinders. You see why we don't have a bird table in our garden - Cinders is in fact a bit of a killing machine!  And this one is 10 years old - It's the Murray River during the drought - this is to the west of Wodonga - where I'm standing is Victoria but across the river is New South Wales.  Enjoy! |

We have 3 cats and one like this so I'm always happy to see a cat photo and it's an excellent shot .Our's is a bit thinner and he's still active in chasing birds he's 13.- I say chasing rather than catching because he has a bell/collar on and it gives the birds that bit of time to get out of harm's way .
The other photo really brings out the reality of drought. Good quality photo too (technically, I mean)

Lovely cat is cinders, great shot. My cat at 14 doesn't chase birds anymore, just looks at them. That second shot really shows the drought....

Two lovely images Paul. Love these titles too  . That's a very nice cat you have, so this is the famous serial mouse killer of Larne!. He looks very healthy for that age. Image two is exploding with the 'cool factor', or should I say warm. Excellent natrual patterns, shadows, and colour contrasts. A b&W version might be interesting for those shadows. |

Very nice indeed Paul. I really like that second one. Cinders reminds me of my previous cat Winne - sadly no longer with me. She would bring mice in through the cat flap and either kill them or walk off bored leaving me to find it and let it out again. I remember coming downstairs one morning for a glass of water in the small hours & barefooted & then felt my foot land on something soft. I put the light on & discovered that I'd trodden on half a dead mouse!! Come to think of it, don't think I ever did find the other half!! Anyway a pic of the old girl!  |
