May 7th was a massive day for thunderstorms across the UK and Ireland with a supercell and tornado Near Oxford, England. Here we missed out on the best of the action but i was keeping a lookout from home and was rewarded in the evening with this short stubby funnel spinning up out of a dark cloud base.

Heres the storm retreating with a partial rainbow and hail shafts.

And the sunset to end the day!

Be great to see people back on the forum posting again.  Smiley

Hi there,

Half year later the comet meets M92 cluster in Hercules. I've missed the closest conjunction yesterday (clouded), but hope for a view tonight.  Smiley

Hi Andy, the exposure time I used is only 30secs, I normally take around 200 plus images and then stack. Agree regarding the lack of posts it all went very quite so I stopped posting shame really because I really enjoyed the time here. I did start my own small forum and a few members here joined, if you would like to join the link is here http://landscapenightscape.createaforum.com/index.php.

Glad you liked my website keep in touch

Very creative Anton. Love the 'angled' buildings in that first shot with Gemini & Orion adding a very nice finishing touch.

Two very impressive results there Anton. Looking at the length of the trails in that first shot I'm assuming that the exposure time must have been pretty lengthy - in which case you've done well to hold back the light pollution as far as possible without sacrificing any of the 'wanted' detail in the shot.

Just noticed the link to your website which looks very impressive. I shall bookmark it and have a proper look at the various galleries in detail later on.

I was beginning to think that the Plague had returned and wiped out all of the members here - so good to see a couple of new posts!  Grin
