Hi All,

Well this will be my last image till March. My new mount wonít be arriving till then; anyway here is an image of M33 the Triangulum Galaxy. This is one of the hardest galaxies that Iíve tried to process. I also had 2 hours of H Alpha data but I wasnít too sure on how to add it to the RGB. When I did combine it to the RGB it totally over powered the image with red data and looked horrible.

LLRGB= 360-180-180-180 @-20 degrees Darks was 180min @-20 degrees.

Hi Paul,

That is the thing I miss most is those sharp crisp clear nights witch don't come along very often.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is keeping well

Here is an image I've been trying to get since August but with the way the weather has been it has taking months to get the data for the image. The H Alpha Luminance is around 10 hours exposure over a few nights and the RGB is 2 hours on each channel

I had a little problem with the spacer on the field flattener when I was imaging back then. But the flattener is fixed since taking this image. This is the reason for the eggy stars on M52. I hate getting eggy stars a well they won't be in my next image. Anyway hope you like the image please click on the image to enlarge.

Hi John,

Great images I hope you don't mind. I had a go at colour balancing the M45 image using the levels in photoshop and a small bit more processing. Here is the best I could do with the image.

29  General Category / Astronomy & Space / Re: Melotte15 Inside The Heart Nebula Reprocessed on: September 15, 2009, 10:59:10 am
Hi all,

Well I wasn't to happy with the way the first image turned out. I thought I could get a better result from 15 hours worth of data. So I reprocessed the image. The dark halos are now gone around the stars. I did a lot of extra work on the H Alpha luminance to bring out more detail I used Noel Carboni local contrast enhancement in photoshop actions witch did a great job of bringing out lot's more detail in the H Alpha luminance. Anyway here is the final result. Your comments are always welcome.
