Thanks guys. I was amazed when I looked out the window and saw them.

Cheers guys. I think you're right John, but I had not tripod, and the settings were getting decidedly borderline for handholding, if I'd not had IS I don't think I'd have managed it.

You're right Martin, just getting there would be impossible were it snowing...

Aha... so now we know where all our clear skies have gone  Grin

Lovely set of shots Richard... really likeing the second one with the bridge framing the sunset.

Excellent set John.. The rook is well exposed and has great action. The lapwing looks darn tricky. Love the Robin. The chaffy is very good. The BT is showing as not available... I've no clue what kind of birds they are in the next one Grin but it doesn't look easy. Excellent capture on the water. And a wonderful star trail to finish.

Very good Paul. I tried that Sat tracker program... it worked perfectly.. except... I'd got something wrong in my setup and the scope was a few degrees behind across the entire pass and nothing I could do would bring it back inline.

Thanks guys... The bit I found trickiest was removing the halo from the selection... but once I'd found the right web page tutorial it worked a treat...

Excellent shots John. I doubt very much I could do better on that rhino, you've done superbly... it's not just panning, it's the up and down motion of the head too, it's hard enough to track something moving along one plane... add in additional movement vectors and it gets real tricky real fast.
