Looks a peaceful location Richard and by the looks of the footprints in the first image have you a giant roaming the beach.

Just taken advantage of reasonable observing conditions and finished the evening by taking a few images to create a star trail.

Thanks Richard, I used the 10 - 24mm at 10mm ISO 800 F3.5 with a 36 second exposure, no crop. I'm sure Garradd is there some where. No chance of viewing here tonight due to poor weather.

Well you had better luck than me Andy. The observing conditions here were a bum and very humid therefore I only took a few general wide few images just to show conditions.

That’s pretty impressive for this lens, I have tried a few macro shots with my 18 – 55 kit lens but never mange to capture that much detail.

Detailed account Martin and great images too, love the one with the gust front snaking above the road in the last image looks cool.

Great selection Richard I favour the first image with the curved road saying that I also like the look of the rocks and foxgloves, sounds an ideal place for a picnic.

Thanks

Great Mark, always interesting to see these solar images so keep up the surveillance and keep us posted of any activity.

Thanks

Thanks both, I travelled to Newcastle and then to the other side of the country to Workington on business so after 350 miles and another 230 odd miles to get home I opted to head for the Lakes and stay over. The building to the lower left is Kirkstone Pass Inn. The view is wonderful would have been even better if I managed to climb to the top my legs and heart beat told me to head down and not upwards lol.
