Much of the midwest has been expirencing close to record low tempertures (some have broken) about 150 miles east right now the temperture is -30F!! these were taken in about 7 or 8 below zero temps (http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr148/Tyler_greatsky/CR1-15.jpg) (http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr148/Tyler_greatsky/CR2-14.jpg) Title: Re: Extreme Cold and boiling water Post by: jgs001 on January 16, 2009, 10:07:02 am Interesting stuff, and brave in those conditions. That first one it almost looks like a lump of candy floss

Title: Re: Extreme Cold and boiling water Post by: rjgjr on January 16, 2009, 03:19:47 pm Those are amazing images Tyler. They show photos like that on the news every winter when the deep freezes come down from Canada. 212 degrees to vapor in nothing flat. I think some place outside of International Falls, MN was wind chill -62 degrees F. At 7 am here at my place this morning it's a balmy +63 F. Very unusual. Didn't go outside viewing last night because the local couger is on the prowel. Killed a neighbors goat night before last. They're tracking him, going to try sedate and relocate him once, if not, they'll have to put him down. I heard the dogs and saw the flashlights from the trackers in the forest last night. Very unfortunate, but that's nature vs humans.
