Title: Moon Halo from last night. Post by: John9929 on November 11, 2008, 10:48:24 pm This shot was taken last night showing a Moon Halo that only lasted a short time before it was overrun by thicker cloud. It has what appears to be two "off centre" Moon Dogs. I have never seen this before. I'm sure Martin will have an explanation. The spaceship thingy at the top is a flare from the camera lens.

Judging by the position, 22 degrees on either side of the Moon, I would say those are two moondogs. Square of Pegasus is at a cool angle. Nice image :)
