Wonderful stuff John. I love the wing motion in number one. Great photography.  :)

Thanks very much Martin. I'm finally getting to grips with the settings to use for capturing this sort of thing at my garden feeder.... They get quite noisy as the only way to get the shutter speed fast enough is to push the ISO hard but it works.

Great shots John! Like all of them but #1 looks cool with the slight blur around the edges...  ;D

Luv the squirrel.  I think you need at least 1/600 sec. for those starlings but as you say it needs the ISO upping, which can introduce noise. I had a go back in April at different speeds. I mentioned I'd got one one of the shots of a starling somewhere, I'll check this out now and a couple of Red Kites in flight  too.

Thanks John. I could've got a faster shutter by maxing out the ISO, but I was trying to keep that balanced with noise. The light levels are so poor this time of the morning to even get 1/200 I need iso1600....
