Title: Sun Halos
Post by: rjgjr on June 25, 2011, 10:19:31 pm
I thought I would share these two images because it's the first time I have ever seen a 46 degree halo or a tangent arc, I think I have these right according to wikipedia. I remember others talking about it here on the forum, but had never experienced them myself. It pays to look up from my yardwork time to time!

Well spotted Richard. I can't comment on the technical aspects but  good shots.

Indeed Richard very well caught there,  im no expert either, looks like the 22 degree halo, upper tangent arc and the 46 degree or maybe supralateral arc - i cant be sure but excellent shot  :)
