Title: Humbug Mt. Coastline in late evening Post by: rjgjr on October 17, 2010, 05:29:49 pm I took these the other evening while driving to my Astronomy Club Meeting. The days are growing shorter and I love these low light situations and the colors they present. I really need to get some filters, but the ocean haze and mist is to be expected I guess.

The first image is amazing and reminds of 'The Lost World', I wouldn't have been surprised if a Velocirapter trotted past the camera in the foreground :)

Your area is beautiful i must say those cliffs are amazing and such clear waters wow i would love to live there i really would! . It looks like the area where the Twilight movies are made where the mountains drop into the ocean. That first image is incredible!

It's strange you mention that Martin, not too far from here is a small children's attraction, if you will, that is in a rain forest and has 25 -30 dinosaurs that are made out of re-bar and concrete, painted in realistic colors. Not the most realistic looking creatures, but for children, it scares the be-geebers out of them. We do have a lot of verticle areas that rise from the sea to the east, my best star viewing is of course to the west, but tou take what you can get.
