You got some really good detail there Roman. I think it might be an Old Lady moth... but I'm not certain.

Thanks John. I always want to know what is the name of each insect, especially butterflies, but very often it's hard to identify it because I don't know where to search.

I wonder, why did it quietly sit on my hand and didn't try to run away.. Given the time of year I wonder whether the fella is on his last legs. However you've caught some great close up images Roman. Thanks for sharing.

It was early September, and in fact, it was the end of the summer, because in the first week of September I had daily temperatures +25...+30C and even more (a bit unusual). That butterfly tried to escape when I putted it into a box (and it had a luck to fly around my room for several times), but I repeat: it sat quietly on my hand.
